White sand and turquoise water
The beaches around Phi-Phi are particularly interesting at low tide. But you have to see it for yourself. Swinging from the trees.
Island walks are particularly beautiful on Phi-Phi. The change to another beach or the very popular viewpoint high up. Sturdy shoes are an advantage. With enough time and a slow pace, you can enjoy the walk.

Two large islands offer themselves as destinations:
Koh Phi Phi Don
Koh Phi Phi Don, the larger of the two main islands, is 8 kilometres long and 3.5 km at its widest point. This is where your hotel and party are located. Koh Phi Phis centre for nightlife is Loh Dalam Bay. So on the northern side of the small village. There are no discos here. The bars are well frequented and every night there are beach parties with fire shows and lots of guests. The island attracts young people who turn the beach, which is so quiet during the day, into a party mile in the evening. There is a good choice of hotels. Just search for "Phi Phi" on Booking. You cant go wrong, because there are no hotels on the smaller island to the south. It is recommended to stay close to the village on the eastern side. This way you are centrally located and a trip to Long Beach is not far away.
Koh Phi Phi Leh
Koh Phi Phi Leh is 3 kilometres long and 1 kilometre uninhabited at its widest point and consists almost entirely of cliffs and caves. A must, of course, is Maya Bay at Koh Phi Phi Leh as a day trip. If you dont know it, the film "The Beach" with Leonardo Dicaprio was shot there.
The most famous beach on Ko Phi Phi Don (pronounced PeePee) is Long Beach.
Chill and party every night.
But the centre of Phi Phi Don is the area between the two mountains. Many small shops, diving schools, restaurants and various bars characterise the "townscape".
Ko Phi Phi is very manageable and sometimes even overcrowded with tourists during the high season (approx. December to March).
How to get there:
The nearest airports are either in Krabi or Phuket.
It takes 1.5 to 4 hours (approx. 45km) by water from Krabi or Phuket to get to the island. Ferries leave several times a day. The fare is about 11 euros (one way).
Hotels are rather rare. However, there are also very cheap options here.
For example, for 21 days (10.12 to 31.12) already from about 200€ total price (lowest category).
In the high season, however, the total price in a good hotel starts at 1200€ (57€ per night).
Maximum chilli, fantastic beaches and Maya Bay at Koh Phi Phi Leh are absolute plus points for a great beach holiday.
An early morning visit is recommended, as the rush of visitors sometimes becomes too much of a good thing. Caution. Phi Phi is very manageable, so it could quickly become boring in "bad" weather.
